This will be new to my website. These are not printables. I have created Instagram Highlight Covers and I will be sharing these with you. I love how cute and minimalist they look.

It’s time to get creative with your Instagram profile.

Your Instagram profile is your online business card. It can be a great opportunity to showcase your brand’s personality and offer a sneak peek of what you have to offer.

You can also add a cover image to every highlight. This small detail helps you present the content you want in an even better way, but not everyone seems to understand it. As we already know, IG rolled out this feature sometime around the end of 2017, and still many profiles lack these pretty images that make them stand out even more.

Why do I need Instagram Highlight Covers?

Instagram Highlights are all about telling your story in a way that feels natural for what you do and who you are as a brand. They help create a stronger connection with your followers and encourage people to engage with all the content curated on your profile. This is why, in order to make sure they look their best and actually deliver results, it’s important that they are visually consistent with the rest of your branding strategy. Using covers helps break up all the text in your highlights carousel so it looks more fun and interesting for people scrolling through their feed who might come across your profile for the first time.

You can always download new icons but it’s not hard to make them yourself if you have basic graphic software like Canva

I love Canva! Once you’re comfortable with Canva you can use it to design your own icon packs or add in your own custom icons.

How to use:

• Click on the image. Zip folder will be automatically downloaded to your phone, laptop, or computer
• Unzip the folder
• Save the images
• Open Instagram
• Select the cover you want to change or edit and then the 3 dots
• Select “Edit Highlight”
• Select “Edit Cover”
• Choose the desired icon from your image gallery
• Use your fingers to fit the icon into the circle
• Select “Done”

You can also do these steps:

• Open Instagram
• Go to Story Highlights
• Click “New”
• Select any cover and then click next
• Click “Edit Cover”
• Select Gallery beside the icon
• Choose the desired icon from your image gallery
• Use your fingers to fit the icon into the circle
• Select “Done”
